Jomsom Muktinath Trek, here it’s a 13 days trek, starting from the flight to Pokhara, exploring and passing through Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tatopani, Ghansa, Marpha, Kagbeni, Muktinath, Jomsom, and returning to Pokhara and Kathmandu. At Kathmandu, you will be visiting the UENSCO’s World Heritage sites enlisted from this city.

Jomsom Muktinath trek covers the important places for Hindus and Buddhists in the Annapurna and Mustang regions, loaded with spectacular views of mountains, exciting cultures experienced at different settlements and moderate adventure. It is a blend of breathtaking landscape and plenty of cultural experiences with spiritual touch. You shall pass through several small and large settlements, dense forests full with rhododendron, through the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki, and get opportunities to soak your exhausted body into the natural hot springs at Tatopani.



Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu ( 1,350m )

Day 02 : Flight to Pokhara ( 823m ) /Trek to Tikhedhunga  ( 1,552m ): 30 minutes flight and 4-5 hours trek

Day 03: Tikhedhunda to Ghorepani ( 2,750m ): 6-7 hours

Day 04: Ghorepani to Tatopani ( 1,190m ): 5-6 hours

Day 05: Tatopani to Ghasa ( 2,110m ): 5-6 hours

Day 06: Ghasa to Marpha ( 2,680m ): 4-5hours

Day 07: Marpha to Kagbeni ( 2,810 ): 4-5 hours

Day 08: Kagbeni to Muktinath ( 3,710m ): 5-6 hours

Day 09: Muktinath to Jomsom ( 2,715m ): 5-6 hours

Day 10: Fly back from Jomsom to Pokhara: 20 minutes flight

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 6-7 hours

Day 12: Kathmandu sightseeing: 4-5 hours

Day 13: Final departure.



Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu, 1,320 m

After your arrival at Kathmandu, you will be picked up from the airport and will be transferred you to the hotel. Get refreshed and rest. In the evening, we will have a short debrief session about the program and followed by a welcome dinner where you will be served authentic Nepalese cuisine which will introduce you to the country’s food culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Flight to Pokhara/Trek to Tikhedhunga  : 30 minutes flight and 4-5 hours trek
Altitude : Pokhara: 823 m; Tikhedhunga : 1,552 m

With the birds-eye view of mountain range, forests, rivers, lakes, and valleys, you will fly to Pokhara early in the morning. Nayapul is an hour and half drive far from Pokhara. From Nayapul, you will start trekking towards Tikhedhunga, via Bhurundi Khola, ascending dense forests. You shall reach Tikhedhunga after crossing the Modi Khola via the suspension bridge. Overnight in Tikhedhunga.

Day 3 : Trek to Ghorepani : 6-7 hours
Altitude : Ghorepani: 2,750 m

You shall descend downhill to Burundi Khola, and begin you ascend after crossing the river. The steep trial taking you to Ulleri can be quite troublesome. Further ascending takes you to Ghorepani. This is an ancient place discovered by ancient traders where their horses drank water. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 4 : Trek to Tatopani : 5-6 hours
Altitude : Tatopani: 1,190 m

As you open your early from bed, you shall find Mt. Nilgiri and Annapurna South overlooking you. After breakfast, you shall descend downhill to Sikha Village, from where, further descending takes you to the Ghar Khola Village. You will have to climb uphill after crossing the bridge to reach today’s destination—Tatopani. Overnight in Tatopani.

Day 5 : Trek to Ghasa : 5-6 hours
Altitude : Ghasa: 2,110 m

Overlooking the Kali Gandaki River flowing down, you shall ascend the beginning of today’s journey with ease. You shall continue trekking after crossing the suspension bridge. After a while, you will find yourself walking beside a spectacular waterfall. Trekking further takes you at the bottom of the Kali Gandaki Valley, which is Ghasa. Overnight in Ghasa.

Day 6 : Ghasa to Marpha Trek : 4-5 hours
Altitude : Marpha: 2,680 m

Walking over a steep uphill covered with forest, you reach at the stream—Lete Khola. Further trekking leads you to Lete Village. Travelling the east side of the river takes you to Larjung Village. Today’s trek also offer you the beautiful views of vegetable farms and apple orchards. This place is quite popular in the country for the apples. Overnight in Marpha

Day 7 : Marpha to Kagbeni : 4-5 hours
Altitude : Kagbeni: 2,810 m

You will have to ascend on a ridge to reach the Jomsom Village. Turning towards the north, overlooking the Kali Gandaki River, you shall find the world’s deepest gorge in the world. You will be trekking in windy trail, and pass the Eklebhatti Village. Further trekking takes you to Kagbeni—today’s destination. Overnight in Kagbeni.

Day 8 : Kagbeni to Muktinath Trek : 5-6 hours
Altitude : Muktinath: 3,710 m

After having your permit checked at the check point, you shall trek reaching at the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. You will have to make a steep climb uphill and arrive at the junction of the trails, one of them taking you to the Khingar. Before reaching the Jarkot Village, you will be trekking through desert landscape. Further ascend takes you to Muktinath. Overnight in Muktinath.

Day 9 : Muktinath to Jomsom Trek : 5-6 hours
Altitude : Jomsom: 2,715 m

You shall visit the religious site of Muktinath in the morning before heading off to Jomsom. You shall take some time to explore this pilgrimage site holding importance to both Hindus and Buddhists. You will see the main temple, 108 water spouts, Buddhist monastery, etc. You shall be busy in return trek from this day onward. Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 10 : Jomsom to Pokhara Flight : 20 minutes
Altitude : Pokhara: 823 m

During the morning flight back to Pokhara from Jomsom, you will enjoy the aerial view of the gorge between the mountains. You can stroll in Pokhara after you take required rest. Visit the Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake, David’s Fall, and other popular destinations depending upon the availability of your surplus time. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 11 : Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive : 6-7 hours
Altitude : Kathmandu: 1,320 m

After breakfast, catch a ride to get back to Kathmandu in our private vehicle. The ride will take around 6-7 hours to reach Kathmandu. However, en-route to Kathmandu is filled with soothing ride and beautiful landscapes, enjoy the beauty of terrace fields, river banks, scattered settlements at the top of some hills. Our representative shall take you to your hotel at Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 12 : Kathmandu sightseeing : 4-5 hours 
Altitude : Kathmandu: 1,320 m

This is the day you can explore the Kathmandu valley. This city offers you some of the World’s Heritage sites enlisted in UNESCO, such as Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath, Boudhhanath, Basantapur Durbar Square, etc. Have a leisure time for shopping before final departure back home. Evening will be the time for celebrating with dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 13 : Final Departure
After breakfast, be ready with your bags and luggage, our vehicle be there to receive you from your hotel and drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Our goodbyes and farewell bade for you with warm gratitude. Have a safe journey!
